Our new cd the road less travelled is out. exciting times, as always. The moment a new product is out, I am always a bit nervous. I know from the previous ones that official reviews will come, good ones, but also bad ones, sometimes even very bad ones. That is not at all an easy part of making music. The point is that the reviewer is always in the advantage. After all, nobody reviews the reviewer, and let's be honest there are good reviewers but there are also bad ones.

Sometimes it makes you wonder if they have any idea at all what a review should be about?

The boring comparisations with Genesis, as if they do not know any other bands? I like Genesis a lot, and I strongly feel they have made a huge contribution to the development of progressive music, but to compare Us in any respect with Genesis?

I sometimes wonder if I should re-write where Us has come from, especially the part that I like Genesis, because it seems to give some people the wrong ideas.

It very much seems that you like Us or you don't and that is fine as long as you keep an open mind.

I can only advise anyone out there, anyone who is at least interested in Us, listen to the soundbites and to make your own judgement.

Well, for those of you who have followed Us throughout the years, I sure hope you like the new Us CD.

I certainly thank everyone who made the effort to buy Us music.

For what it is worth, I have honestly made this new CD with all the love for music that I have.

Our new CD 'The road less travelled' is almost ready for sale.

It will be out in about a week from now.

The cd contains four songs that all turned out to be very much to my own liking. Somehow the whole process went very smoothly and all songs seem to have some sort of connection to one other.

I have received a lot of good advice from Jeroen at Arizona mastering. He sure does more than he is expected to do and helps me out as I often run into a brickwall having to do everything myself. That is quite a problem sometimes because to a certain extend I have to find out everything myself and cannot rely on  others to assist.

Jeroen however is one of a kind. I thank him a lot. Also Peter de Frankrijker, our guitar player on the first 3 Us cd's helped out by doing the artwork on the boolet etc.

And what a fine job he has done. It looks stunning. Nico Veenendaal who generously lended out his art again(he did so on The Young and restless) contributed in Us bringing out a very goodlooking cd. The artwork and the cover are beautiful.

All in all I think this is the best cd i have done sofar, and i am very anxious to find what you think about it!
